If you have come to this description to find out whether you should try our Oatgurt Mixed Berry, here’s the quick answer: Yes, for sure! But since you know the only reason this webpage exists is to get you to try this product, you are probably not going to take its word for it that easily. There will need to be a presentation of facts surrounded by a good amount of adjectives, aka the long answer. Cool. Here you go: Oatgurt Mixed Berry combines wonderfully plant-based creaminess with a juicy berry taste. To be specific, these are real berries and real oats, all of which are grown from the earth’s soil in warm sunshine and…well, you know how plants work. It’s a perfect vegan treat for non-vegans, too. And we haven’t even gotten to the amazing part yet.
Our really smart Oatgurt product development person, Kathryn, says, “I wanted this to be a nice, fresh mix of berries that reminds you of summer, but you can eat it all year long.” By the way, it should be noted that raspberry takes the lead here with blueberry and strawberry providing backup. The raspberry-forward flavor gives this product an exceptional tanginess that sets it apart in the world of mixed berry yogurts. But like with most super successful trios, everyone’s just pretending all three are equally important, so this product is called “Mixed Berry” instead of something like “Raspberry and the Other Berries.”
This paragraph about our rapeseed oil is only here under “What might be less amazing” because rapeseed has a bit of an image problem here in the US. But just like in Europe, we use only non-GMO, low erucic acid rapeseed oil in our products. It is expeller-pressed, which means the oil is extracted and produced without the use of creepy chemical solvents like hexane. It also has a neutral flavor, which is key when you are an oat company making plant-based products designed to be easily swapped for the rather neutral flavors of dairy products. Anyway, maybe someday this rapeseed oil paragraph will be up there in the “What’s amazing” section. Fingers crossed.
