Made from the fiber obtained after pressing the nut to extract its oil, our coconut flour has no added sugar. It provides a rich texture and a natural, slightly sweet aroma.
What is coconut?
Coconut is the fruit of the coconut tree, a member of the palm family. It can measure up to 30 cm in diameter and you can consume water, milk, oil and almonds!
Nutrition and health
Naturally gluten-free and cholesterol-free, it contains 20% protein and the eight amino acids essential to our body. Naturally sweet, it however has a very low glycemic index (35). It is also a product extraordinarily rich in fiber (up to 60%).
Origin
Probably originating from the Indo-Malay region, the coconut palm has been able to acclimatize to all tropical countries. Despite its ability to easily reach 20 meters in height, the coconut palm is not a tree but a plant, like the banana tree! Formerly called Tenga by the natives, the coconut was first called the great Indian nut by Westerners. The term coco was coined by Portuguese travelers in the 16th century.
